Vintage Collectors Weekly Green Glass Flask Dr Livingstone I Presume w/ Box 1970
Vintage Collectors Weekly Green Glass Flask Dr Livingstone I Presume w/ Box 1970s
This is a vintage green glass commemorative flask issued by Collectors Weekly of Kermit, Texas, and mailed to subscribers in the late 1970s to early 1980s. The front features a raised star and flying eagle design with “Collectors Weekly – Kermit, Texas,” while the back shows the classic 1871 scene with the inscription “CENTENNIAL – DR. LIVINGSTONE I PRESUME.”
The glass has a beautiful bright green color and crisp embossing on both sides. The bottle is approximately 5 inches tall and was part of a series of commemorative reproduction flasks based on 19th-century designs.
This listing includes the original shipping box and packing paper, postmarked with 15¢ Oliver Wendell Holmes stamps (issued in 1978), helping date the piece to around 1978–1981.
Condition is very good for its age with no chips. A great addition for collectors of commemorative glass, reproduction historical flasks, vintage subscription collectibles, or Texas memorabilia.
