Vintage Collectors Weekly Flask 1871 Great Chicago Fire Commemorative w/ Box 1970s
This is a vintage commemorative glass flask issued by Collectors Weekly of Kermit, Texas, and mailed to subscribers in the late 1970s. The flask features a raised eagle and star design on the front with “Collectors Weekly – Kermit, Texas,” and a detailed embossed scene on the back reading:
“1871 Centennial – Great Chicago Fire.”
These flasks were produced as part of a series of historical reproduction bottles inspired by 19th-century American whiskey and medicine flasks.
This piece includes the original shipping box and packing paper, postmarked and stamped with 8¢ Eisenhower stamps, dating the shipment to around 1977–1978. The glass is a smoky clear/gray tone with crisp embossing and a smooth finish.
Approximate size: about 5 inches tall.
Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks, showing only light handling from storage. Box shows expected wear from age.
